This Spanish language program is a collaborative effort between Miami Dade County Public Schools and The Ministry of Education of Spain. Students in our International Studies Program study Mathematics, Science and Social Science as part of this rigorous curriculum.
Students in our International Studies Program in grades 1-5 are instructed for an additional hour and fifteen minutes a day after school in Spanish in the area of Humanities, Math and Spanish Literature.
Students are recommended by their Spanish language teacher and must meet criteria (entrance exam) to participate in this additional extended day program.
Our International Studies Program students in grades 6-8 take the International Studies courses as part of their regular school day. Students in our ISP Middle School program are taught Mathematics and Humanities in Spanish as well as their Spanish class.
This advanced Spanish program allows students to pursue an International Studies Diploma upon completion of an International Studies High School Curriculum.
Our school works closely with the Spanish Consulate. The Spanish Consulate supports our Spanish curriculum. We are also honored to have several visiting teachers from Spain on our staff.
